Discrete, a rapper, singer and producer raised in the Bay Area of Northern California, is gearing up for the biggest year of his musical career so far with the first sounds from his forthcoming album, ‘Let Me Remind You’ With a style which has fleshes of E-4, G-Eazy and Max Dre, Discrete is every bit the one-man-music-machine, having control over every element, from writing to producing. Already with seven mix tapes and two label released albums under his belt, and no signs of his prolific productivity waning, the thing which really makes Discrete stand out is that no two tracks sound the same – this is an artist who is constantly moving and continually evolving.
His latest single, Move Yo Body, is the kind of infectious summer anthem that is almost tailor-made to play with the windows of your car rolled down Lyrically Discrete has been compared to artists like Kanye West and Drake with real life story telling composed into a work of art. Written, recorded and mixed by Discrete himself, it showcases an ultra-confident artist at his most playful and slick.
His new CD entitled “Let Me Remind You” features the hit songs: Move Yo Body, Try This featuring Sage the Gemini and If I Went Broke, all of which are getting significant plays locally and online. Now ready to take on the world at large, Discrete, despite his name, is going to be hard to ignore in 2018.

The new song ‘Gay’, by Hunter is making the rounds as a modern day voice of the people. With a powerful message underlining the unique melodies and eclectic instrumentation.
The song gravitates around the narrative of one man declaring his sexuality to another who is not 100% open to the idea. The song has a number of references to how Hunter feels towards discrimination, “I’m a Bigger man, Bigger man than you”.
However, Hunter has stated that this song is for everyone and anyone, as it is a call to accept who you really are and what you want to be.
Spreading the message one track at a time, Hunter seems to be on a roll, so be sure to check him out:

Hailing from South Carolina, concept artist M3staken (M3) has ended his trilogy of albums with Rain. After the releases of Apex and Water Colors, which announced the eccentric style of M3 to the world, he has continued in much the same vein with the latest record.
Although Apex experimented with a hint of classical piano, juxtaposed with M3staken’s fracturing producer style, the second and third records focus on complicated beats and a haunting ambience.
Although M3staken takes inspiration from contemporary acts such as Joey Bada$$, Jamie XX and FKA Twigs, these influences are mere hints that the talented young producer draws upon when concocting his complex style of music.
As the last piece of M3’s trilogy, he notes that this is the album that has meant the most to him due to its conclusive nature that seems to summarise his style. M3 commented that Rain is ‘loosely connected to my two previous works and it is primarily a collection of my personal favourite songs’.
Urban artist KADI is releasing her empowering new single ‘Turn U On’, after having worked with Moorish Delta 7, Baby J and supporting Omar. Her new track pushes forward a powerful message all through an R&B, hip-hop and pop tinted lens.
Lauren Hill’s style and talents are just one inspiration for KADI who is looking to empower women by showing them that they don’t need to adhere to the stereotypical conventions of the media. KADI believes that the music industry portrays an image where “having a big ass or showing your breasts gets you attention” but this is not a healthy image in KADI’s view.
‘Turn U On’ comes from a time when KADI was living in New York and a producer of hers told her to conform to this idea. She refused, and the outcome has been ‘Turn U On’.
Exciting artist and producer, M3staken, otherwise known as M3 is releasing his super-experimental soundtrack album that blends elements of classical piano and electronic music with his primary genre of hip-hop.
Taking inspiration from huge acts such as Joey Bada$$, FKA Twigs and Jamie XX, it’s clear that M3’s style is one that is hard to pin down. However, this is not a bad thing; blending genres, experimenting with music and seeing what happens is an admirable trait within the musicianship of the ambitious M3staken.
The 8-track album entitled Apex works as an attempt to create a unique fusion of classical, hip-hop and electronic styles. He states that “as a primarily hip-hop based artist, it was important for me to emphasise the amount of musicality there is in hip-hop, while also using a mix of classical styles and modern techniques”.
M3staken’s classical sound contrasting with the hip-hop beats comes from unique techniques such as using live classical pianos rather than samples, thus escaping the hip-hop cliché.
