Call of Ancient Love is the brand new album from Russian multi-lingual spiritualist and musician Stan Gemes.  Its limited edition physical copy sees the artist offering more than simply a sonic experience – also incorporating elements of touch, feel and taste to bring an inventive multi-sensory experience.

The album is packaged into five compartments, each compartment loaded with goodies relating to one of five elements: fire, water, earth, air and space.

The elements reflect the artist’s own worldly outlook, having journeyed all around the globe, soaking up spiritual experiences along the way.

The elements also reflect the worldly themes of the music, which sees Stan blending rock with traditional and tribal sounds from around the globe including Asian flutes, African percussion, Indian choirs and Hispanic guitars.

Looking for Liam ready for you to ‘Take What You Need’ with new single

Exciting new track to be unleashed on June 1st

A popular melodic rock group with echoes of Incubus with added rawness, Looking For Liam are an Essex based four piece band who have also been compared to the wide ranging indie sounds and created an anthemic fusion of Muse, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys. That those acts are so eclectic in their approach gives you an idea of what is so special about Looking For Liam – their ability to write indie-rock music with a number of different styles and tropes.

Formed in 2010, they first gained momentum in 2011 with a Battle of the Bands competition win, BBC Introducing coverage and a debut EP. Since then they have added another Battle of the Bands contest victory plus an appearance at Brownstock Festival to their CV, and with new single ‘Take What You Need’ coming on June 1st their stock is set to rise further.

On the booming single, lead vocalist and songwriter Tom Harper-Ward had this to say:

“‘Take What You Need’ is a true representation of our sound and musical direction. We hope you enjoy it!”

Hear the track for yourself here:

Lyric video:

With four members who share a deep love for creating music, and tastes that overlap to create their varied indie back catalogue, Looking For Liam are a band who not only benefit from a great deal of talent at present, but the great potential to expand on it. That makes this band one of the most exciting in the UK right now.

Brilliantly self-produced, the track above is a great example of their layered and intricate approach to songwriting, with heavier moments acting as punctuation to the more contemplative sections. It’s hugely impressive work from a band who are still only in their late teens, but show a great deal of maturity in their music.

Looking for Liam are:

Tom Harper-Ward – Lead Guitar/Keyboard/Vocals

Jordan Spowart – Rhythm Guitar

Sam House – Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals

Charlie Townsend – Drums/Backing Vocals

Kinky Dove rock out with new self-titled EP

3 track release set to be unleashed on June 15th

Born in in Australia but now living in London, Kindy Dove is the musical moniker of frontman Scott Wade and his evolving collective of musicians. Progenitors of gritty, driving rock, the group are readying themselves for a fresh assault on the music industry with a brand new three track EP.

Produced by Chris Kimsey, previously of Olympic Studios, the EP marks Kinky Dove out as one of the earthiest rock bands on the scene. Fans of Scott Wade and Kinky Dove before they began working together, the producer understood the style and heights at which the music was aiming, and helped mould that vision into the musical reality that Kinky Dove has become.

The CD was mixed by Wade. Studio legend Phill Brown loved the sound of the CD, commenting that the mixes were “open and alive.”

Their particular brand of rock and roll, defined in many ways by the bluesy, post-rock growl of Wade on vocals, is currently lost nationally and globally, and Kinky Dove are now looking to redress that balance.

For a taste of their punchy style, check out the video to EP track ‘Some Kind of Fool’, featuring an epic slap-happy montage of Hollywood moments.

The EP also features a remix/cover version of classic 1978 track ‘Another Girl Another Planet’ by The Only Ones – in this case titled simply ‘Another Girl’.

There is also a trance remix of ‘It’s Called Heartache’ on the EP. You can find the video for this at

The resulting EP is a continuation of form from previous album ‘Kinky Dove vol. 1’, and the latest step in Kinky Dove’s  climb.
